Spontaneity Killed the Cat

My favorite new thing is spontaneous portraiture, here's a little sample of it for you.

Stroll In the Forrest?

Just experimentin' in my backyard. I was in love with the light levels at the time.

Bottom of the barrel

So these are pretty much all the remaining photos from my trips and random experimentation over the summer. I didn't post them before because I'm still kind of iffy about most of them but I thought I'd post them for the hell of it. Enjoy! :)

Halifax.
Lauren please don't be mad at me for posting this but I really like this picture! Still can't figure out how to rotate it though.  Taken in The Plaza lobby in NYC.
I LOVED these ladies, they were incredibly sweet and insisted on giving me a kiss after I asked to take their picture. They looked like they were just coming out of church but unfortunately the picture didn't quite turn out due to unfortunate light levels.
Taken in our amazing hotel in Venice. You can see a canal through the glass door, I made sure to get a picture of that!
My brother wouldn't let Missy go down the slide by herself. Impressed by my paparazzi skills?

Once in a pink moon

So I played with the colour in this photo a little more then I normally would have but the original colours were extremely dull and this goes along with my obsession with nude and coral colours right now. Enjoy!

Grand Central

I didn't realize that my sister was in the picture 'till afterwords (she's the one standing still close to the middle of the picture).

NYC Frustration

One of the things I loved about NY was its random art around the city. Some things, like this one, just made me want to stop and stare at them for a while.

Parlez-vous fran├žais?

I'm not sure why but I can't seem to get this photo to rotate? Anyways,  just something I snapped while roaming the streets of Quebec City.

No speak no Italniano

Hello all! So I just got back from my trip to Italy and this is the first of many Italy posts to come. The problem is that I don't seem to have enough free space on my computer for all my photos so once I figure out that little dilemma; I'll post the rest. Enjoy :)

Some may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one

Ok so this is my first experiment with self portraits (I finally found my tripod: YAY!) I wanted it to keep in theme with my obsession with black and white that also seems to be taking over my wardrobe right now. I'm kind of on the fence about this photo but I decided to post it anyways. And yeah, I know the titles corny but I couldn't think of anything else.

I'm Back!

Hello everyone! Sorry about the lack of posts on my part for the past few months but it has been a long, hard winter and well... it's still winter but I'm going to try not to let that stop me! As the end of the semester was approaching, my art teacher gave us our final project. We were given almost complete liberty to do pretty much anything we wanted. Because I am such a photography enthusiast I instantly knew what I wanted to do. So I decided to do a series of black and white portraits because I'm not sure if you've noticed but I mostly do still life and I felt like taking on a challenge. I photographed some of my closest friends because I thought it would be easier to bring out their personalities in the photographs. So here are the results of my little experiment, I'll post the pictures up one by one just to drag it out and keep everyone on their toes :)
